August 28 Leave Beijing TodayAfter one year’s fighting, I still choose to go abroad and today it’s time to leave this Great city, Beijing. Things I like: PKU, subway, XDF, traveling, Zhongguancun, ZBB, girls (not in our class), friends in Beijing, easy directions, modernization Things I dislike: sandstorm, dirty environment, another language, traffic jam, pollution. Time table 5.22 conditional offer from Warwick, 7.6 graduate from PKU but still in Beijing to prepare materials for Visa 7.31 emails with Warwick and got the course materials 8.8 deposit of 1000 pounds paid to Warwick 8.12 applied for accommodation 8.16 Got my unconditional offer via email. 8.23 go the British Embassy and got my visa issued. 8.24 book the ticket of British Airways on 26th Sept. I like Warwick because of its celebrity, campus and useful email systems. Answer my questions so quick. I also prefer St. Andrews because of its efficiency. Only two pack received by post and about 3 emails. Every things is done. 8 or 9 days from UK to Beijing.

Today I used google earth to locate my hometown Wuhan and some cites in UK, like Warwick, Coventry and London.
By comparison, Beijing is the biggest and the most crowed. When you look down at the earth, China is always covered with dim cloud and smogs, while UK are much better and cleaner in the sky. Green wood, fresh air and wonderful land ……

God bless us all Model-making 1Hi, everybody, welcome you to my MODEL-MAKING-SHOW Look at this vivid picture, we have a hot girl standing beside those fabulous sports cars, or we called roadsters. Talking about man’s hobbies, there are two things that they like best. One is the beautiful girl, the other is the power car. (hey, don’t laugh, it’s ture) I am not going to talk about the girls now, so the main role today is the second one ——sports car. Model-making 2Although I like cars, I don’t have a chance to buy a real car now because I am only a college student. Then how to solve this problem? There are two ways. One is playing computer games like need for speed. You all know that game? Made by EA games. Boys here are crazy about this game. The second solution is to buy a model car, assemble it, then you have a mini sports car and you can put it on the desk and enjoy it everyday. Luckily, I choose the second way and now I am going to show you how to make the model car. Model-making 3Some of you may question about my qualification to deliver this speech. And ask, are you the expert in this field? For how many years have you been playing model cars?
Then I can tell all of you that I do have the qualification and I will show you some evidences. This is my first model aeroplane. My mom bought this as a gift and give it to me at my ten-year-old birthday. When I looked at the box (just like this one) and opened it. I didn’t see the toy plane I expected. The box was contented with lots of workpieces just like this one, (show the frames ) and a instruction paper. (show it). I was quite disappointed and asked mom, where is my toy ? mom smiled and answered: oh my boy, the plane was in your hand, but not now, If you want to have a toy plane, do it yourself, follow the instruction and assemble the pieces into a complete plane, can you do that? I looked the box again and nodded doubtfully.
Then I read the instruction carefully and tried best to put every single part together and made a complete plane. And that’s the picture of my first model plane. Although a little bit rough, that’s my first masterpiece， and it started a new age of my model world. Model-making 4Look at the following picture, during the period of my middle school, the gold age of making those amazing military models. Here you can see tanks of WW2, US tanks M1A2, Russian armored vehicle, and oh, this one, the powerful Russian rocket.
When I finished making those model weapons, painted them, place them in a line, then I stood in front of them, the feeling is just like I am the a general of the whole army, those are my troops, I can commend and win the battle. Model-making 5After entering the university, I have to say goodbye to my models for a while. During my days in college, although taking courses and participating activities takes most of my time, I still love my hobby and I find that making car models is more attractive.
Just as what I said at the beginning of the speech, buying a brand-new sports car costs a lots of money, but owning a model sports car is very easy. You can spend only a hundred yuan, do it you self, then you can have you dreamed sports cars running on you desk. You can even have Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Benly, Lenborgeni by spending only a small a mount of money. The only disadvantage is that they are two small for you to sit in. If you have these model sports cars, you can even hold a car race just like what in Initial D, then you see which car is the best roadster. Model making-5By the way, making model cars is just like finding a girlfriend, If you are not patient enough, you can get the best job done. So when you are making a model car, please remember, you need to be very very careful and patient, read carefully, cut every parts patiently, assemble them seriously, if you do all these things with your heart, you can make the most wonderful car that ever had. My personal understanding of PKU——My campus life in PKU
Four years ago, my parents and I stood at the west gate of Peking University and took a photo. I was wholly innocent of the campus life in the upcoming years. My mind is filled with all the glorious achievements I had made during my high school of Wuhan Foreign Languages. And I also dreamed about another brilliant college life.
Four years later, I am taking a fantastic course of public speech in UIBE and making a brief conclusion of these unforgettable days. Now, I’d like to share my memorable experience with all of you.
To begin with, we all know that PKU stands for Peking University. Here is another explanation to this abbreviation. In my point of view, P stands for participated, K represents knowledgeable and U just means unique.
Participation indicates that I should always be active in the class and eager to answer any interesting questions. Joining the clubs like photography and basketball widens my view and enriches my extra-curriculum life.
Knowledge is of vital importance in my life. I devote most of my time to study Economics and I am enthusiastic about English. The process of learning is full of great fun and I immensely enjoy it. My diligent work brings me high GPAs in return and an acceptable score of 7 in the test of IELTS.
Uniqueness is the gift which God endows everyone. Every individual can be unique if he develops his creativity and potential abilities. Being a unique student, he should often have new ideas in mind and a strong will to make his plan come true. When I get in touch with the digital gadgets such as laptop, camera, CD-burner and printer, they really provide great assistance to fulfill my dreams.
After hearing my new explanation of PKU, I’d like to add my motto at the end of the speech. I am fond of the sports-brand Adidas, so my motto is “Nothing Is Impossible”. Since we are all in youth--the golden period in our life time, we surely have the ability to change the seemingly impossible into reality. And when all that is done, I can be proud enough to announce to the whole world that I MADE IT.

Though a Chinese Student in PKU, I prefer using English when writing blogs and chatting with friends. Hope you all can get used to this style. The easiest words in English best describe my experiences and feelings.
I complete this first page on 1:08 AM 21/08/2006. Hope it will be a wonderful start.
Although I used to spend lots of time on study, I feel this time to creat a space on internet now and let my parents and friends know my exciting life no matter where I am and how far I travel.
